Security Manager
Location: Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas
Security Clearance: Top Secret with CI/Poly
JOB SUMMARY:
The Security Manager is responsible for ensuring the security of classified information, personnel, and facilities within the 375th Cyberspace Operations Squadron (COS). This role involves a wide range of security management tasks, including document control, visitor control, access control, personnel security, security awareness training, and compliance with security regulations. The Security Manager will also play a key role in anti-terrorism measures and incident response.
PRIMARY DUTY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Document Control:
- Maintain a document accountability database and associated correspondence.
- Process magnetic media for accountability.
- Provide reproduction support for classified materials.
- Maintain daily logs for document control functions.
- Implement Top Secret Control for accountable material.
- Prepare and process classified mail, faxes, and courier packages.
Visitor Control:
- Research, process, file, and maintain inbound and outbound visit notices.
- Escort facility visitors and maintain associated logs.
- Assist in the preparation of facility access control badges.
- Conduct entry and exit inspections.
Access Control:
- Maintain facility access control entry systems, including visitor control.
- Perform data entry to the Personnel Access Security System database.
- Maintain customer-sponsored billets and quota information.
Personnel Security:
- Maintain personnel security files for squadron personnel.
- Review, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities.
- Conduct DCII, DISS, and SAPNP reviews of candidates for SAP access.
- Execute Special Access Program Nomination Process Questionnaires.
- Prepare and process Program Access Requests (PARs).
Security Awareness and Training:
- Provide support for security awareness and education programs.
Compliance and Inspections:
- Follow and enforce customer Standard Operating Procedures.
- Participate in Air Force SAP security compliance inspections.
Anti-Terrorism:
- Serve as the anti-terrorism response (ATR) representative.
- Conduct monthly random anti-terrorism measures (RAM).
- Attend wing-level security/ATR working groups.
Incident Response:
- Coordinate with squadron and wing personnel on opening/closing security incidents.
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field is preferred.
Relevant Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in security management, preferably within a DoD or Air Force environment.
- Demonstrated experience with handling classified material, processing security clearances, and conducting security investigations.
- Familiarity with security regulations and procedures, including those related to Special Access Programs (SAPs).
- Knowledge of Personnel Access Security Systems and databases.
